Who we are:

The Early Childhood Coach partners with licensed child care providers to enhance quality of care for infants and toddlers within the Sixpence Child Care Partnership (CCP) program. This role supports child care partners through regular coaching, professional development, and collaboration with Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) to strengthen program quality and ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

Job Description:

Sixpence Child Care Partnerships is looking to add a part time position to our team! This is a part-time position 28 hours/week. Associate’s Degree pay is $25.33/hour with pay for those with a Bachelor’s Degree being $30.40/hour. Must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Bilingual applicants speaking English and Spanish preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide face-to-face coaching sessions with CCP partners twice monthly.
  • Effectively implement the components of the coaching cycle, including establishing context, reflection, feedback, observation, joint planning, and action/practice.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and relationship-building skills with providers, coaches, coordinators and community partners.
  • Support providers in curriculum implementation, classroom/home environment improvements, and family engagement practices.
  • Collaborate with SUTQ coaches, program leads, and coordinators to develop action plans for quality improvement.
  • Participate in required trainings, including Coach Booster, Pyramid Model, and Environment Rating Scales.
  • Collect and document coaching notes, monthly reports, and evaluation data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with developmental screening, referrals and family support resources as needed.
  • Participate in and collaborate with community groups, advisory committees and partner meetings to strengthen local early childhood systems.
  • Assist with program activities during both regular and occasional after-hours events, such as meetings, trainings, distribution of materials (including translation assistance, if applicable).
  • Prepare and maintain necessary program documentation, including forms, reports, brochures and correspondence, in both digital and print formats.
  • Gather, track, and interpret program data to identify needs and guide continuous improvement.
Job Requirements

· Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.

· Minimum five years of experience in early childhood leadership, coaching, or teaching.

· Completion of Nebraska Early Childhood Coach Training (must have or complete the Nebraska 2-day training prior to beginning coaching).

· Nebraska Early Learning Guideline Series completion preferred.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

· Significant computer experience, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet use preferred.

· Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers.

· Familiarity with Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) preferred.

· Familiarity with Environmental Rating Scales (ITERS-3) or Toddler CLASS preferred.

· Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.

· Strong understanding of adult learning principles and coaching best practices preferred.

· This position requires local travel to partner child care sites.

Part-time, preschool Para-Professionals needed for the Hastings Head Start. 24 hours per week. Wage is $15.13 per hour with a $1.00 pay differential for those with an A.A. in ECE. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Preferred. Benefits include paid time off and on going training opportunities available.

Job Responsibilities

The Para-Professional is responsible for working in a team environment to assist the Teacher and classroom employees in providing support for educational activities, meals, classroom management, and other classroom activities in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.

  • Utilize developmentally appropriate classroom activities for children.
  • Encourage parents to participate in the program in a variety of ways that fit their skills and time. Collect in-kind related to this participation.
  • Assist families in a variety of ways including but not limited to; connecting with resources, making referrals, sharing information about their child’s day, translating documents and interpreting.
