Volunteering Info

Be a part of changing a child’s life!

We are committed to ensuring that children have the opportunity to learn as many valuable lessons as possible during their young years. This would not be possible without the help of passionate and caring volunteers. We have volunteers of all ages who can work any schedule; there is no minimum or maximum time requirement. We are happy to have as much time as you can give us! We welcome volunteers for our program in many ways.
Some volunteer opportunities include:
  • Classroom Volunteer: Enjoy a variety of activities with children including greeting children as they arrive, helping teachers with activities, reading to children, listening and guiding children, helping with art projects, playing instruments, serving meals and looking at the children on the playground.
  • Library Volunteers: Help keep our library a warm and welcoming place for families! Act as a librarian in our library: register books for parents, return books to the shelves and help find books.
  • Facilities/Maintenance Volunteers: Help implement projects around our sites. Help with green buildings and yard maintenance. Paint as needed. Our sites are big and busy and we can always use help with projects!
  • Cooking: Prepare, serve and clean up family lunches and help children learn good eating habits. Help hand out food bags every week. **All cooking in the kitchen requires a physical exam and tuberculosis test.**
